The Space
This remodeled three-bedroom home offers a serene escape with stunning river views, perfect for those seeking adventure and relaxation alike. Designed to accommodate up to eight guests, the space features two queen bedrooms and a cozy bunk bed room, providing ample room for families and friends. Venture outside to enjoy the private fenced yard featuring outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill.

All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand and dish soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee filters and laundry detergent. Please bring your own toiletries.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. 24 to 48 hours before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV’s other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $3000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund. 14 to 29 days prior to arrival 50% refund. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions, spotty internet service or interruption of service.

The house was perfect for our needs. The view from the back deck of the river was wonderfully relaxing. We even had three deer in the area! Close to downtown.

Spacious home in a great location

This was a perfect house for our getaway with space for everyone and a short walk to downtown. Plenty of dishes, cups, flatware and lots of counter space in the kitchen. Clean home with everything we needed. Communication from the host was excellent and we had no need to contact anyone during our stay. We would love to stay here again when we come back to Salida.

We had a month visit and enjoyed every minute. The house location is perfect to walk to everything in town, hit the walking paths and trails. Salida is close to skiing, hot springs and other areas to explore. Piñon was responsive to any questions. The house came with everything we needed and has a very comfortable layout. We will be back!

The inside was well kept up and maintained! Very welcoming. We loved the river view. Unfortunately, my dog was not able to go out in the yard as much as anticipated because two rowdy bucks were in the back yard! I don't think this would be an issue in summer, and in other seasons though. I would definitely recommend this rental anytime : )

well appointed house on the river; quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to everything Salida. Very close to golf course. Great place for a couple or family with children. Highly recommended.

Peaceful retreat in the river

We spent a very relaxing week here during FibArk. My grandson was participating in the kayak training and races, so it was perfect for him to put his kayak on the river right from the backyard. The only thing it lacks is a reserved parking space, but that was only a problem on the weekend.

Tess and I always enjoy our stays at Heart of the Rockies River Getaway. It's the only time our Yorkie-Poo, Gabby, is ever free to run without being tethered to her leash because of the large fenced in yard. We love the majestic mountains that border Salida to the west. But, the most endearing feature of the home, is, the beautiful Arkansas River that runs right behind the property. The sound of the river is what helps me to relax and decompress from any and all distractions, problems, or stress. The home features a large deck that overlooks the back yard and river. You can even wave to the occasional rafter that floats by! The back yard also features a picnic table and gas fire pit area. The ladies at Pinon Vacation Rentals (Terry and Savannah) are very kind, professional and helpful. They even allowed me to bring my own DVD player to plug into one of many TV's in the home, as my wife and I are big Redbox fans. They also offered us a very generous discount for an extra nights stay, which we gladly took them up on. Even the cleaning ladies were very nice and they work extremely hard to keep the home clean and inviting. I can't sing their praises enough, for the care and concern they show their clients is heartfelt, genuine, and generous!! Thank you all for another enjoyable stay at Heart of the Rockies River Getaway! Jim

We stayed at the Heart of the Rockies River for a long weekend. The home was spotless and had everything we needed. It was very convenient to be able to walk to town. We also enjoyed sitting on the back deck. Overall we had a “Wonderful weekend” spending time with our family.

This is a beautiful home located close to town, it was clean and spacious with all the amenities . Access to the Arkansas river right out the back door. Piñon vacation rentals are very accommodating and have excellent communication skills. Will definitely stay at this property again.

Peaceful Relaxation

My wife and I LOVED this property!! It was very clean, modern, spacious, and had a television in almost every room--which we appreciated!! That's not to say we didn't spend time outdoors. The properties location puts it within just blocks to downtown and maybe just a mile from Salida's beautiful river walk and park, which we thoroughly enjoyed! The neighborhood is very quiet given it's close proximity to downtown. But, most importantly, we were able to bring our pet, Gabby, who is just 14 months old and never off of the leash outside our home. She was in Heaven, being able to run freely in the HUGE back yard that borders the Arkansas river! The property also features a nice size deck overlooking the yard/river complete with a propane fire pit. We really enjoyed ourselves and received the much needed respite that we needed. One of my wife's co-workers saw some pictures that she posted and is already interested in staying with you. We hope to be able to return soon!! Warmest Regards, Jim and Tess

Perfect location, comfortable house

We really are enjoyed our stay in Salida. The house was very convenient to town and we walked back-and-forth to town several times a day. The house is set up very well. Two bedrooms at the front of the house with the kitchen separating a separate master bedroom. This gave a lot of privacy to the back bedroom. There are two living areas and a great deck that overlooks the river. The backyard is clean with really nice grass. We definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful home, recently remodeled, very close to town. Plenty of space for 8 guests to sleep and hang out comfortably. Lovely stay!
